Logitech Wii Wireless Guitar Controller Review
This Logitech Wireless Guitar Controller for the Wii Entertainment console rocks 4 stars out of 5, (and not just because it’s made out of quality materials….as I’ll explain in a second)br /br /First, the pros:br /br /1) The obvious appeal to the consumer right away is the fact that it’s made out of real, quality materials like metal and rosewood. It actually, honestly feels like a real electric guitar when you put it on because it’s head has polished, metal tuning pegs attached (useless of course, but aesthetically cool) and the guitar’s body is made out of real wood. It gives you a “heavy” feel that makes the experience feel much more authentic.br /2) Setup was simple. You just place the Wii remote in a slot made into the back of the guitar.br /3) The guitar includes a very cool Touch Sensitive Neck slider bar that really makes some song parts sound much cooler than if you didn’t have one. There’s also a “Star power” button that you can push.br /4) Probably the best and most notable reason to buy this guitar is found in the buttons and strum bar. The strum bar is nice and quiet, and the fret buttons don’t make the “CLACK, CLACK” noise that I’d grown accustomed to on the normal Hero guitars. Anyone who has played Guitar Hero knows what I’m talking about. If you don’t have the music turned up fairly high, it’s hard to enjoy it over the noise of the buttons. Just the fact that this extra noise was taken out of the picture made me appreciate the Logitech controller the most.br /br /Really……there’s only one con I can think of because I really did enjoy playing the guitar.br /br /1) It seems like sometimes (since I’ve played the same games with both the normal Hero guitar and this new Logitech one) the fret buttons don’t respond as perfectly as the buttons do on the normal Hero guitar. I mean, the difference is ALMOST completely non-existent, so most people probably wouldn’t even notice it. I guess I just notice the little things sometimes, and since it wasn’t absolutely perfect, I had to give it 4 stars instead of 5. br /br /All in all, I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy an authentic electric guitar experience in the Guitar Hero environment.
